About Your Provider

I am a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner in both Psychiatry/Mental Health and Women’s Health. I started my career as a registered nurse in 2006 and worked in a number of different settings including outpatient psychiatry/mental health, OB/GYN, and Sports Medicine (I even worked with the Golden State Warriors NBA team!). Since becoming a nurse practitioner in 2013 I have gravitated toward my love of psychiatry and determined that this is where I feel I am able to make the most difference for people to live their best lives. I have 11 years of provider-level NP experience in the mental health and women's health settings in addition to seven previous years as an RN. I have been able to focus in on ADHD as a subspecialty, and I have especially enjoyed helping adults realize their full potential when able to optimize their level of self-understanding. I think of my relationship with my clients as a decision-making partnership and take a holistic approach to address concerns as they relate to the entire person. I will often provide nutritional and supplement recommendations in addition to pharmaceutical options for treatment. I have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community including those in transition, and I welcome all humans to my care. I believe that all people deserve access to high quality mental health care and a chance to align their personal goals for wellbeing with their reality. It is a Delicious Ambiguity.” -Gilda Radner ******* FAQs ******** •DO YOU TREAT CHILDREN? ANSWER: At this time I am only seeing adults between the ages of 18-55 (over 55 on a case by case basis and may limit medication options). •DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE? ANSWER: I do not take insurance at this time. My service operates as concierge style with a monthly recurring fee which includes any visits needed with the provider, prescription management, nutritional recommendations, coordination of care with medical team, documentation of treatment for workplace or academic settings, and counseling/ therapy when applicable. •WHAT IS THE COST FOR TREATMENT? ANSWER: The initial 90-120 minute visit is $300 for patients who are new to my care. For ongoing care and treatment the cost is $95/month for basic medication management with brief therapy or $210/month for biweekly therapy integrated with medication management. The cost is on a recurring monthly schedule which would begin 30 days after the initial visit. •CAN I PAY FOR EACH VISIT INDIVIDUALLY INSTEAD OF PAYING MONTHLY? ANSWER: I do not offer this option at this time, but I do offer add on therapy sessions for a cost of $110/hour if an increased frequency is needed above the base time. •DO YOU TREAT CONDITIONS OTHER THAN ADHD? ANSWER: Yes! I can diagnosis and treat full scope mental health issues and am happy to manage depression, anxiety, insomnia, PMDD, and other conditions in addition to ADHD. There is often significant overlap in mental health conditions. I also offer basic contraceptive management such as birth control pills. •WHAT CONDITIONS DO YOU NOT TREAT? ANSWER: Conditions not appropriate for my care include: psychotic conditions such as schizophrenia, active suicidality with intent, people needing a benzodiazepine taper, and several other conditions. •DO I HAVE TO SEE YOU IN PERSON FOR THE INITIAL VISIT? ANSWER: Depending on the type of medication indicated, you may have to be seen in person prior to any prescriptions being written and then once per year (controlled substances). However, the initial visit can be broken down into Part 1 on telehealth and Part 2 in the office if a controlled substance is indicated. Some new clients also prefer this option if they are feeling anxious to meet a new provider so that the initial conversation can be from the comfort of their own home. •I AM ON A DIFFERENT CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE FOR SOMETHING ELSE, CAN I STILL RECEIVE A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE FOR ADHD TREATMENT WITH YOUR OFFICE? ANSWER: If you meet criteria for treatment of ADHD with a controlled substance, I require that to be the ONLY controlled substance you are taking regularly for any reason even if not related to mental health (This applies to benzodiazepines, sedative-hypnotics, opiate pain medications, and certain others).
